What are the best areas to stay on Skyros?Closest to the ceremony & party venue are: - Magazia/Molos, the main beach area - Chora (pronounced 'Horah'), the main town of Skyros There are lots of other beautiful parts of the island but you will need a car. We recommend staying in the areas mentioned above which are closest to the venue. The Chora winds up the side of a large hill - very beautiful, but probably not best for people with mobility issues.

What will the weather be like?It should be glorious (touch wood/fingers crossed/pray to Zeus). Temperature is usually around 25 - 30 degrees. You may need a jacket/cardi/light trousers in the evenings though if it's windy. The sea will absolutely be swim-able but potentially still a little chilly (still lovely compared to UK water!)

Can I bring my children? The ceremony & reception is adults only. We understand some people may want to combine the wedding with a family holiday; if so please ensure you have someone else to look after your children for the ceremony & reception party. We want everyone to properly relax & let their hair down for the wedding.
-
Is there a dress code for the wedding? We are not expecting people to turn up in wool tuxedos and sweat all day. But we'd love for everyone to get their glad rags on & dress to impress, it is a wedding after all! Bonus points for sequins.
-
Do you want gifts? Please no wedding gifts. The fact you are all coming to Greece to celebrate is enough! If you do insist on something, contributions to our honeymoon in Guatemala are welcome, but contributions are by no means expected!

Are there supermarkets/pharmacies etc?Skyros is a bit more 'rustic' than some islands but there are plenty of mini-marts, pharmacies, a doctors clinic etc. Most of these are located in the main town 'Chora'. There are a couple of mini-marts down by Magazia beach as well.
